This type was struck in the United States for Cuba 1915-16. The denomination does not seem to have been popular as it was not issued again. The catalog does not record the "low relief star" and "high relief star" varieties noted for the larger silver denominations.

Recorded mintage: 6,090,000 plus 150 proofs.

Specification: 3.5 g, copper-nickel, plain edge.
