This specimen was lot 54065 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $720. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CHINA. 10 Yuan, 1989. Lunar Series, Year of the Snake. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A brilliant and attractive 1 Ounce Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This is a low mintage date for the series.
