Künker sale 354, lot 5124

This specimen was lot 5124 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €650 (about US$905 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA, Volksrepublik. 100 Yuan 1989. Große Persönlichkeiten der chinesischen Geschichte. Dschingis Khan (Chen Ji Si Han). 7,34 g Feingold. GOLD. Polierte Platte. (people's republic of China, one hundred yuan of 1989. Great figures in Chinese history, Genghis Khan. Proof.)"

This NCLT is one of a series honoring great figures in Chinese history. While Genghis Khan was not a Chinese, but a Mongol, the dynasty he founded ruled China for several centuries.

Recorded mintage: unknown but all proofs.
