This specimen was lot 1989 in Sedwick sale 34 (Winter Park, FL, November 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "Santiago, Chile, bust 1/2 real, Charles IV, 1807 FJ, NGC XF details / cleaned. Dark gray-toned fields with hairlines across the centers, a bit weakly struck shield between pillars." This is one of a series minted 1792-1808 for Charles IV. Despite the steady output, the type is scarce.
