This specimen was lot 74496 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 25 Dollars, 2014. Ottawa Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-70 Deep Cameo. Matriarch Moon Mask." The leaflet included with the box commented, "First Nations culture is rich in profound wisdom, which eloquently expresses the link between humanity and nature as a whole. The terms "Mother Earth" and "Grandmother Moon" clearly reflect the similarities First Nations peoples see between these two spheres, and the founding and nurturing role played by women in their communities."
