This specimen was lot 74442 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 50 Cents, 2014. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Featuring the classic beaver design from the 5 Cents coin." Other commemorative fifty cents for 2014 include KM 1585, 1603, 1634, 1635, 1636, 1752, A1752, 1775. This one honors the beaver reverse of the five cents, first used in 1937.
Recorded mintage: 7,500 proofs.
Specification: 1.24 g, 0.999 fine gold, 13.92 mm diameter, reeded edge, 0.040 troy oz ASW.
