This specimen was lot 2442 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 2014 Iconic Superman Comic Book Covers-Action Comics #1(1938) Silver $10 Colorized Coin. Contains 1/2 Oz of 0.999 fine silver. Its mintage is 10,000. NGC graded Proof 68 Ultra Cameo." Other ten dollar NCLT's issued in 2014 include KM 1346 (baby feet), 1580 (igloo), 1590 (ice skating), 1599 (maple leaves), 1607 (pintail ducks), 1612 (grizzly bear), 1613 (WW2), 1625 (skiing), 1649 (moose), 1650 (goose), 1651 (artic fox), 1652 (D-Day), 1653 (dragonfly), 1654 (John Paul II), 1655 (maple leaves), 1705 (maple leaves), 1787 (harlequin duck), 1791 (two maple leaves), 1793 (salmon) and 1800 (two maple leaves). The Royal Canadian Mint is clearly intended to support itself.
