This specimen was lot 23309 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 300 Dollars, 2012. BRILLIANT PROOF. Struck for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Coin is a brilliant gold Proof with mirrored fields, frosty devices, and a Canadian-sourced diamond inla[i]d on the obverse periphery." The profits extracted from the manufacture and sale of NCLT's caused the Royal Canadian Mint to scramble for ever more arcane topics, including this one honoring the queen's diamond jubilee.
