This specimen was lot 23310 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 150 Dollars, 2012. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Chinese Blessings series: Blessings of Good Fortune. A stunning Gem, this scallop-shaped issue presents a high degree of frosting and mirrored fields ultimately producing a wonderful cameo effect." The profits extracted from the manufacture and sale of NCLT's caused the Royal Canadian Mint to scramble for ever more arcane topics. This series, started in 2009, was the first non-round coin issued by Canada.
