This specimen was lot 41292 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen, 1715-HH. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: crossed axes. August Wilhelm. PCGS MS-62. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1714-30 and is fairly common. Another 24 mariengroschen (KM A812) was struck 1715, 1720, 1724 and is rather scarcer. Twenty-four mariengroschen made two-thirds of a thaler or one gulden.
