This specimen was lot 74629 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 1/4 Taler, 1715. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: crossed axes between HH. August Wilhelm. PCGS AU-50. An elegant fractional issue in silver, this pleasingly toned example displays only light handling and a hint of striking weakness, but also offers charming color and some subtle brilliance in the protected areas. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1715-21 and is not common. Mintmaster HH appears 1711-19.
