This specimen was lot 25050 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 1/2 Taler, 1626-HS. Zellerfeld or Goslar Mint; mm: crossed keys. Friedrich Ulrich. PCGS AU-58. Sporting an enticing cabinet tone and some glints of brilliance emanating from the protected areas, this example even features great detail on the face and body of the wildman who stands rather imposingly upon the reverse. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1614-32 and is common.
