This specimen was lot 1931 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$218 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. 1/2 Taler 1823 A, Wien. Vorzüglich-FDC. (empire of Austria, Francis II, 1792-1835, half thaler of 1823, Vienna mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1817-24 at six mints (A, B, C, E, G, V) and is common.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a slightly better date.
Specification: 14.03 g, 0.833 fine silver, 35 mm diameter, 14.02 g.
