This specimen was lot 4170 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"AUSTRIA, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Taler 1823 G. Nagybanya. Vorzüglich-FDC. (empire of Austria, Francis I, 1792-1835, thaler of 1823, Nagybánya mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This thaler was issued 1817-24 from six mints and is common. This one likely circulated in Hungary.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
