Künker sale 406, lot 4565

This specimen was lot 4565 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,100 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. 1/4 Reichstaler 1694, IA, Graz. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Hübsche Patina, winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, quarter thaler of 1694, Graz mint. Very scarce in this quality, handsome patina, planchet defect on edge, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

A one year type along with a fifteen kreuzer (1/6 thaler).
