The first specimen was lot 1428 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,153 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Leopold I. 1657-1705. 1/2 Taler o. J. (1691/1692), Hall. Gutes vorzüglich. NGC AU58. Herrliche Patina. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, undated half thaler, Hall mint. Good extremely fine, Most attractively toned.)"

The second specimen was lot 140 in Künker Auction 423 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €700 (about US$991 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I., 1657-1705. 1/2 Reichstaler o. J. (um 1670), Hall. Mit jüngeren Gesichtszügen. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit Lorbeerkranz, Löwenkopfschulter, umgelegtem Mantel und der Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies//Gekröntes und verziertes, fünffeldiges Wappen (Ungarn - Böhmen / Österreich-Burgund / Alt-Österreich / Habsburg-Görz), mit Mittelschild (Tirol), umher die Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion H. D. Rauch 44, Wien 1990, Nr. 3411. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, undated half thaler, circa 1670, Hall mint, young bust. Obverse: armored, laureate and mantled bust with order chain and lion's head on the shoulder; reverse: crowned ornate manifold arms of Hungary, Bohemia, Austria, Burgundy and Gorizia with escutcheon of Tyrol, Order chain around. About extremely fine.)"

The SCWC also mentioned another undated half thaler, KM 1150, which has the value below the bust.

Specification: 14.58 g, silver, the first specimen 14.17 g, the second specimen 14,00 g.
