Austria 1694 thaler Dav-3244
This specimen was lot 1995 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 260 CHF (about US$320 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR/ÖSTERREICH Leopold I. 1657-1705. Taler 1694. Hall. Drapierte, geharnischte Büste mit Allongeperücke und Lorbeerkranz rechts Löwenkopfschulter. Rv. Gekröntes Wappen von Ordenskette des Goldenen Vlies umgeben. Schöne Patina. Fast vorzüglich. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1694, Hall mint. Obverse: draped, peruked, laureate, armored bust with lion's head on shoulder,facing right; reverse: crowned arms with Order of the Golden Fleece around. Nice patina, good extremely fine.)"
