Austria 1755 thaler Dav-1121
This specimen was lot 2925 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$370 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Taler 1755, Hall. Fast vorzüglich. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, thaler of 1755, Hall mint. About extremely fine, Minor flan flaw.)"
This convention thaler (28.06 g) was struck 1751-65 at Hall, concurrent with a convention thaler of Francis I (Dav-1155) and a reichs thaler (28.82 g) of Maria Theresia (Dav-1120).
