Saxony 1904-E 5 mark Dav-904
This specimen was lot 2309 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KÖNIGREICH 5 Mark 1904. Muldenhütten Auf seinen Tod. Vorzüglich-gutes vorzüglich (kingdom of Saxony, five mark of 1904, Muldenhutten mint, on the death of the king, extremely fine to good extremely fine)."
This commemorative was accompanied by a silver two mark (KM-1261). Regular issue five mark (Dav-903) also exist for 1904.
Recorded mintage: 37,200 plus 70 proofs.
Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, .803 troy oz ASW, this specimen 27.75 g.
