This specimen was lot 33902 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Prussia. Wilhelm II Proof 5 Mark 1904-A PR63 NGC, Berlin mint. A gorgeous choice Proof which reddens atop the king's hair while a crescent of sapphire blue cushions against the lower regions of the obverse." This type was struck 1891-1908. It superseded a similar type with a different reverse (Dav-788).
