Künker sale 354, lot 6280

This specimen was lot 6280 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €100 (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, PREUSSEN, Wilhelm II. 1888-1918. 5 Mark 1903, A. Vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William II, 1888-1918, five mark of 1903, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1891-1908. It superseded a similar type with a different reverse (Dav-788).

Recorded mintage: 3,855,795, a common date.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, lettered edge, 38 mm diameter.
