This specimen was lot 4209 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,784 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Wilhelm II. 1888-1918. 5 Mark 1902, A. Winz. Kontakte, polierte Platte. Erworben am 21.2.1967. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, William II, 1888-1918, five mark of 1902. Proof, with some contact marks.)"
This type was struck 1891-1908. It superseded a similar type with a different reverse (Dav-788).
Recorded mintage: 1,950,840, a common date.
Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, lettered edge, 38 mm diameter.
