This specimen was lot 3010 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 2,800 CHF (about US$3,358 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Augsburg, Stadt. Doppeltaler 1626. Im Stempel aus MDCXXV zu MDCXXVI geändert. Sehr schön. Felder bearbeitet. (Germany, city of Augsburg, double thaler of 1626, overdated on dies of 1625. Very fine. Fields tooled.)"
This type was struck 1625-26 only and is rare.
