Heritage sale 3081, part of lot 32120

This specimen was part of lot 32120 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $10,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "China: People's Republic 2-Piece Certified gold & silver "Dragon & Phoenix" Proof Set 1990 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, 1) silver 20 Yuan (2 oz). 2) gold 200 Yuan (2 oz), KM 320, Fr-B91. High Date, Near Brick. Mintage: 2,538. A pair of low-mintage "Dragon & Phoenix" coins, preserved to near-perfection. The set is sold with its original wooden display case and COA #1342." Other issues in this set included KM 315 (5 yuan, 2 g silver), KM 316 (10 yuan, 1 oz silver), KM 317 (10 yuan, 1 g gold), KM 319 (150 yuan, 20 oz silver), KM 320 (200 yuan, 2 oz gold) and KM 321 (1500 yuan, 20 oz gold).

Recorded mintage: 5,000.

Specification: 62.21 g, 0.999 fine silver, 2 troy oz ASW.
