Stack's Bowers May 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 33150

This specimen was lot 33150 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2024), where it sold for $105. The catalog description^[1] noted, "CHINA. 5 Yuan, 1996. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Suspension bridge." This NCLT was issued as part of the Inventions and Discoveries series. Other five yuan issues for 1996 include KM 881, 882, KM 883, 898, 909, 910, 911, 913, 933, 934, 935, 938, KM 939, 940, 971, 972, 973 and 974.
