This specimen was lot 6288 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $126.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 8 Reales, 1832/1-FS/LP. Weakly struck in the centers as usual, lightly cleaned. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." For 1832, the SCWC lists the plain date and the 1832/1 overdate shown here and the plain assayer FS and the overassayer shown here, FS/LP. This specimen is a better variety but not rare.
