Sincona sale 77, lot 3041

This specimen was lot 3041 in Sincona sale 77 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$121 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Alexander II. 1855-1881. 20 Kopecks 1877, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB NI. NGC MS64." This type of 1867-93 and 1901-14 is common. It is reduced in weight and fineness from the type of 1860-66.

Recorded mintage: 6,950,000 (including assayer HФ).

Specification: 3.60 g, 0.500 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
