This specimen was lot 72472 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Weimar Republic. Pfennig, 1930-A. Berlin Mint. PCGS PROOF-65 Red Brown Gold Shield. The only example of the date and mint in the PCGS census, this vibrant Gem proof issue presents tremendous eye appeal and dazzling beauty." This type was struck 1924-36 and most dates, including this one, are common. Only the proofs are scarce.

Recorded mintage: 40,997,000.
