This specimen was lot 7622 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €155 (about US$203 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMAN COINS SINCE 1871, WEIMARER REPUBLIK. 1 Reichspfennig 1928, A. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Polierte Platte. (Germany, Weimar Republic, one pfennig of 1928, Berlin mint. Rare in this condition, proof.)"
This type was struck 1924-36 and most dates, including this one, are common. Only the proofs are scarce.
Recorded mintage: 19,300,000 plus proofs.
