This specimen was lot 3136 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,149 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FERDINAND III. 1/4 Reichstaler 1657, mit Titel Ferdinands III. Münzmeister Hieronymus Federer. Mit REIPVBLIÆ in der Vorderseitenumschrift. Von allergrößter Seltenheit. Herrliche Patina, vorzüglich +. (city of Regensburg, one quarter thaler of 1657, struck in the name of Ferdinand III, with "REIPVBLIÆ" in the obverse legend. Extremely rare, superb patina, extremely fine or better.)"
