The Prussian thaler was too light and debased to circulate outside her boundaries. This issue may have been an experiment to create an internationally acceptable coin. It was a failure. The weight given in the SCWC (22.72 g, 0.750 fine) cannot be correct; we have used the weight of a Maria Theresia thaler, which this coin strongly resembles.
Recorded mintage: 72 for 1766-67.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen is 28,03 g.
