Shown is an 1881GoS five centavos, of a type struck 1869-97. This issue from Guanajuato is a better date but not rare. Other mints include Alamos, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Potosi. An overdate, 1881/0, is recorded for the year.

Specification: 1.35 g, .903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Mintage: 160,000.
