This specimen was lot 1126 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "PRUSSIA: Friedrich III, 1888, AR 2 mark, 1888-A, NGC graded MS66+." This type was struck 1888 only (along with KM 511 for William II) and is rather scarce. The later KM 522 (struck 1891-1912) used a larger eagle on the reverse.
Recorded mintage: 500,000.
Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver, .321 troy oz ASW.
