This specimen was lot 31548 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Württemberg. Karl I 2 Mark 1888-F MS63+ NGC, Stuttgart mint. Strong spiral luster flares from the lightly toned fields showing iridescent hues of beige and blue." This type was struck 1876-77, 1880, 1883 and 1888. Like many two mark, it is quite expensive in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: 123,000.

Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver, reeded edge.
