This specimen was lot 22610 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $164.50. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ITALY. Papal States. Rome. Giulio, ND. Pope Julius II (Giuliano della Rovere) (1503-13). NGC EF-45. Saint Peter and Paul facing, reverse crossed keys with crown above. Slightly double struck obverse, with clear readable legends and choice centering. From the Rockaway Collection." The ''piastra'' was 10½ giulii and the ''scudo'' was ten giulii. Berman<sup>[2]</sup> lists eleven different giulii for the reign of Julius II, patron of Michaelangelo and Bramante.

This specimen was lot 22610 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $164.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Papal States. Rome. Giulio, ND. Pope Julius II (Giuliano della Rovere) (1503-13). NGC EF-45. Saint Peter and Paul facing, reverse crossed keys with crown above. Slightly double struck obverse, with clear readable legends and choice centering. From the Rockaway Collection." The piastra was 10½ giulii and the scudo was ten giulii. Berman[2] lists eleven different giulii for the reign of Julius II, patron of Michaelangelo and Bramante.
