Sincona sale 80, lot 2820

This specimen was lot 2820 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$192 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALY | Vatican - Church State, Julius II. 1503-1513. Giulio o. J. Roma. Sehr schön. Feine Patina. (Papal States, Very fine, Nicely toned.)"

This is one off many giulii (Ber-566 thru -576) issued during this pontificate.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.

Specification: 3.95 g, .920 fine silver, this specimen is 3.42 g.
