[[German States, Prussia|Prussia]]. 3 Mark, 1914-A. Berlin Mint. Wilhelm II. NGC MS-65+. Military Bust non-commemorative issue. About as nice as available with light silvery color and seemingly unending luster." This military bust three mark was struck 1914 only. It recycled a bust from the extremely common three mark of 1913 commemorating the 25th anniversary of the reign of William II, who would lose his throne in 1918. This specimen was lot 74754 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Prussia. 3 Mark, 1914-A.
