This specimen was lot 41535 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $10,200. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Impressive Charles I Half Crown, SCOTLAND. 1/2 Crown, ND (1637-42). Edinburgh Mint; mm: B. Charles I. NGC AU-53. Third Coinage, Briot's issue. Warm yellow-gold tone with tremendous satiny luster throughout. Nicely centered on both sides with a distinct wire fin at the edges. A minor flan split at 10 o'clock on the obverse is visible on the reverse. Sharp and attractive, this is surely among the finer survivors known. Traced to the stock of late specialist Patrick Finn that was offered publicly in 2004. From the Loch Ness Collection. Ex: The Stock of Late Patrick Finn (Baldwin's - 10/2004), Lot # 13."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.12 g, 0.917 fine gold, this specimen 1.26 g.
