This specimen was lot 37434 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. 20 Pence, ND (1637-42). Edinburgh Mint. Charles I. PCGS EF-40. Third Coinage; Falconer's First Issue. From the Richard August Collection." Forty pence was one twelfth of a Scottish pound or one eighth merk.
