Áureo y Calicó sale 345, lot 381

This specimen was lot 381 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €120 (about US$159 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"1597. Felipe II. Granada. C. 2 reales. Tipo "OMNIVM". Escasa. MBC-. (kingdom of Spain, Philip II, 1556-98, two reales of 1597, Granada mint, type with "OMNIVM", scarce, about very fine.)"

This type was struck 1590-98. The date can appear on the obverse or reverse (shown here).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.931 fine silver, this specimen 6,84 g.
