This specimen was lot 1159 in Áureo y Calicó sale 346 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,452 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1597. Felipe II. Sevilla. B. 2 escudos. Fecha perfecta. Rara. MBC+. (kingdom of Spain, Philip II, 1556-98, two escudos of 1597, Seville mint. Perfect date, rare, choice very fine.)"
This type was struck at Seville 1588-97 and also comes undated.
