This specimen was lot 23388 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1893-CnAM. NGC MS-63. Sharply struck and lustrous with light attractive tone." The Culiacan mint struck eight reales until 1897 and closed in 1905, the last branch mint, along with Zacatecas, to do so. This date is common.

Recorded mintage: 1,144,000.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
