Mexico City struck this type 1869-81 and 1886-97 and is by far the largest producer. Mexico City was the only mint which struck centavos 1892-96. An 1893/2 overdate is recorded in the SCWC and given a slight premium.
Recorded mintage: 5,078,000.
Specification: 8 g, copper, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
