Sincona sale 94, lot 3262

This specimen was lot 3262 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$451 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1756, Zürich. Stadtansicht. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1756, city view reverse. Good Very Fine.)"

This type was struck 1745, 1748, 1751, 1753, 1756, 1758, 1761 along with thalers with a legend reverse (Dav-1789).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 28.18 g.
