This specimen was lot 5685 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$653 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton Vierteldukat 1756, Zürich. Leicht gewellt, Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, schilling of 1748, Zürich mint. Slightly wavy flan, Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"
This scarce type was struck 1718-67 along with double (Fr-485a), half (Fr-487a) and single ducats (Fr-486a). In 1798, the canton of Zürich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetic Republic.
