Sincona sale 91, lot 3667

This specimen was lot 3667 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 900 CHF (about US$1,189 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbdukat 1722, Zürich. Selten. Fast FDC. Unregelmässiger Schrötling. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half ducat of 1722, Zürich mint. Rare, About uncirculated, Irregular planchet.)"

This type was struck 1718-67.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 1.68 g.
