Sincona sale 91, lot 3659

This specimen was lot 3659 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,718 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler 1717, Zürich. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1717, Zürich mint. Rare in this condition, Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1713-17. No city view half thaler is recorded for 1717.
