Sincona sale 47, lot 3082

This specimen was lot 3082 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 475 CHF (about US$570 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND, Stadt und Kanton Zürich, Halbtaler 1714. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1714. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

This half thaler is listed for 1713-17 and is substantially scarcer than the city view type (KM 146) of 1720-68.
