Sincona sale 20, lot 3561

This specimen was lot 3561 in Sincona sale 20 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 800 (about US$1,003 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Taler 1620. Rv. Kreuz über Doppeladler. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (reverse: cross above double headed eagle. very fine to extremely fine.)" This two year type is more available than many other early Swiss thalers.
