This specimen was lot 5069 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$669 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND Zug, Halbdicken 1620, Zug. Selten. Schön-sehr schön (canton of Zug, half dicken of 1620, Zug mint. Rare, Fine-very fine)." A half dicken was twelve kreuzer or one-sixth of a thaler. This type is noted in the SCWC for 1620-21 and is listed as rare. The figure on the obverse is St Oswald, a British king who converted the Northumbrians.
